Edinburgh Castle is an ancient stronghold which dominates the sky-line of the city of Edinburgh from its position atop Castle Rock. It is Scotland's second most visited tourist attraction.[1] Human habitation of the site is dated back as far as the 9th century BC. As it stands today though, few of the castle's structures pre-date the Lang Siege of the 16th century, with the notable exception of St Margaret's Chapel, the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh, which dates from the early 12th century. here

sempat berjalan-jalan di designer outlet Livingstone yang terletak betul-betul dihadapan hotel.tak banyak kedai yang buka sebab kami bertolak seawal jam 8 pagi, selepas itu terus ke edinburgh castle lebih kurang 45 km daripada tempat kami menginap. edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, its second largest city after Glasgow which is situated 45 miles (72 km) to the west, and one of Scotland's 32 local government council areas.

Located in the south-east of Scotland, Edinburgh lies on the east coast of Scotland's Central Belt, along the Firth of Forth, near the North Sea. Owing to its rugged setting and vast collection of Medieval and Georgian architecture, including numerous stone tenements, it is often considered one of the most picturesque cities in Europe.
